TransMACS (Transportable Mutual Aid Communications System) is a deployable communications resource containing several radios and communications equipment surrounding the the Raytheon ACU-1000 Radio Gateway. TransMACS provides interoperable communications between first responder disciplines employing various public safety communication radio spectrums.

Pre-programmed with local agency frequencies, TransMACS can be set up anywhere to provide multiple communications paths in and around an incident or planned event site. The TransMACS trailer is self-contained for stand alone operation in all weather conditions.

Unlike BayMACS, TransMACS is requested to respond by the authority having jurisdiction and has a reflex time before the resource is operable.
