BayMACS
BayMACS is a radio gateway which provides an interoperable communications link between first responder and emergency management personnel that normally operate on various frequency bands. Linking the VHF, UHF and 800MHz spectrum, BayMACS allows mobile communications throughout the Santa Clara Valley service area. BayMACS may be used by law enforcement during pursuits between cities and by all public safety responders as a command channel during major incidents or planned events.
Different than TransMACS, BayMACS is a fixed system that is immediately available for use by request to Santa Clara County Communications
